Pupil Voice

MFS has a whole-school commitment to listening to the views, wishes and experiences of our pupils. We place value on what children tell school staff about their experiences and use it to inform and improve our practice.

There are many ways in which MFS promotes the voice of our children. Currently, we have:

  • Y6 Leadership Team
  • Student Council
  • Eco Warriors
  • Playground Buddies
  • Votes for Schools
  • A 'suggestion box' - the contents of which are discussed at school council meetings
  • Pupil voice during learning walks
  • Focus groups
  • Assemblies
  • A 'Thought Box' in each classroom
  • 'Bubble Time' in each classroom
  • Raising money for charity
