SPECIAL educational needs and disabilities (send)
At MFS, we are committed to the inclusion of all pupils in all areas of school life. We recognise the diverse and individual needs of all of our pupils and take into account the additional support required by those children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
We aim to meet the needs of children with special educational needs and disabilities within the classroom. This may involve creating individual support plans (ISP), providing additional resources, adapting materials and planning, and providing extra support to enable them to access learning and make progress.
We seek guidance and support from various external agencies including educational psychologists, occupational therapists, and speech and language therapists. To ensure greater continuity in their education, we maintain close links with local and feeder secondary schools.
